Teresa has always enjoyed painting but never knew she had a gift for it until she lost the use of her legs. To help herself heal, she started attending art lessons at the Handicaps Welfare Association and has since developed her own unique style of painting. Intricate with multiple layers to create depth, Teresa often loses herself during the painting process, forgetting the outside world as she applies stroke upon stroke on the canvas. Upon completion, she feels a great sense of achievement and cannot wait to share her joy with friends. To Teresa, painting is thus a way for her to connect with others and her environment.
