Siau Ek Jin is an artist-in-training (ceramics) and an active Special Olympics athlete who won a medal in a swimming event at World Summer Games 2019. He has been an YMCA Inclusive Challenge ambassador since 2021 and is actively training to hike to the summit of Mt Fuji in August 2023. Through this challenge, he seeks to raise funds to help special needs youths in learning programs while raising public awareness for persons with disabilities. Since embarking on his ceramics learning journey at ART:DIS in May 2019, he has overcome his fear of touching and some of the sensory issues that he suffers from.
