Employing colour pencils and different brush types in the execution of this triptych of impressive scale, the artist renders an imagined city inspired by planets and advancements in biotechnology. The artwork engages with the idea of bioluminescence – the production and emission of light by a living organism – and the painting renders the city as being engulfed by a colourful light emitting algae that contributes to its vibrancy.

Joshua is a cheerful and friendly young man who works as an F&B Service Associate at Rasa Sentosa Resort. His interests include swimming, bowling, watching movies and travelling. Art has always been a way for Joshua to share his emotions, opinions and thoughts. He often paints from memory or his imagination. Joshua is especially proud when his artworks are appreciated and auctioned off to raise funds for causes close to his heart.
