27 Jun 2022 - 04 Sep 2022
ART:DIS @ Bukit Merah (3779 Jalan Bukit Merah, #03-02 Community Hub, Singapore 159462)

ART:DIS, together with National Arts Council, is pleased to launch a capability-development programme to enrich the Arts & Disability sector in Singapore – the Inclusive Arts Residency Project! Two individual lead artists or collectives will be awarded a sum between $5,000–$10,000 to fund residency projects that demonstrate exemplary inclusive arts practices. Throughout the residency period of 27 June to 4 September 2022, the chosen artists/collectives will be provided:

  • Regular consultation with subject-matter experts
  • Access to residency venue at ART:DIS @ Bukit Merah or ART:DIS @ Changi City Point
  • Collaborators, participants and volunteers who wish to participate in inclusive art practices

During the course of the 10-week residency, the chosen artists/collectives will be expected to:

  • Document their processes via photography and/or videography
  • Create a work-in-progress presentation (i.e. a dramatised reading, a dance movement piece, an exhibition, an audio book, a song/soundscape album, an interdisciplinary work etc.)
  • Present said work-in-progress during the final week of the residency (29 August to 4 September 2022)
  • Deliver a public sharing session to share their processes, learning points and reflections, two weeks after the residency concludes

To be eligible for this residency, artists/collectives must have attended two of our Masterclass: Inclusive Arts modules. For more comprehensive details about this residency, download the information pack. The application deadline is 22 May (11:59pm).
