When Malini, a young disabled woman, starts her new job as a hotel cleaner, she is determined to do her best. Tensions rise when guest Anita loses her prized possession. Supervisor Safiah and hotel manager Jane attempt to diffuse the situation. However, the characters’ hidden struggles begin to surface, unveiling deeper questions about what disability means. Written by award-winning playwright Haresh Sharma, co-directed with Grace Kalaiselvi, this development showcase is presented as part of ART:DIS Emerging Artist programme that supports the professional development of disabled artists, made possible through the Enabling Lives Initiative grant.

INVISIBLE is a compelling exploration of disability, empathy, and the unseen and unspoken personal battles many of us face. This production contains themes of depression which may be distressing to some audience members. Viewer discretion is advised, with an advisory rating of 12 years and above. Access provisions is available for the neurodiverse, D/deaf, hard-of-hearing, visually-impaired and wheelchair users.
