ART:DIS was thrilled to receive an invitation from SG Cares to open Giving Week 2021, an annual movement that celebrates the spirit of giving and aims to inspire Singaporeans to give their best for others. Due to safe management measures, the performance had to be pre-recorded and screened live at the venue but this did not stop our students from giving their best. Together with the crew from Bloco Singapura, our cajon team had a ton of fun being spontaneous and their sheer enthusiasm was infectious.

Their energetic rendition of Rockabye by Clean Bandit featured samba rhythms that had many in the audience, including Guest-of-Honour Minister Edwin Tong, up on their feet and grooving to the beat. Over at the live stream on Facebook, many community members also showed their support by providing lots of ‘thumbs-up’ and ‘hearts’ as reactions!
