Newly launched in May 2023, the UOL X ART:DIS Art Prize is a platform to recognise talented artists with disabilities in Singapore. This art competition aims to support winning artists in their artistic journey by showcasing their excellent works to the public and opening up more opportunities for them to deepen their practice and gain market exposure.
The inaugural Art Prize has two categories. The Open Category is for young students aged 6 to 18 from special education (SPED) schools in Singapore, and the Closed Category is for artists aged 19 and above, who are part of the ART:DIS’ network of artists. All shortlisted entries will be exhibited at The Arts House from 5 – 14 August 2023, with an awards ceremony on 4 August 2023 to announce the winners.
